Injury

Lotus it is time to face the grim reality.  You are injured.  All the rationalisation and speculation and alternatives are not going to work.  You’ll just have to face it and get on with it.

The massages are not going to work.

The infa red light – not strong enough.

The horse lotion with Arnica in – not good enough.

The anti-inflammatories is messing with your recovery and your stomach lining.

The rest is not long enough and to stretch all the muscles are not working.

All the vitamins in the world won’t heal this.

Take your medical aid card, phone the pyshioteraphist and just go and visit her and help her pay off her car.

Bugger I was so hoping to go through this year’s build up to Comrades without a visit to the physio.  Goodbuy savings plan and hello paying for everything myself in the second half of the year.

And there goes my plans to have a 70 kilometer week as well.  I’m most probably going to be off the road until Monday.  And this weekend was supposed to be a 21 and a 32 kilometer.

Last year this week I had plurisy and was off and on the road for a month before it was correctly diagnosed.

GGGGGRRRRRRRR – traitor body!

Agh shame man, I know what that’s like. But injury is often a part of training so you gotta take the good with the bad! Ask your physio about dry needling (if you’re ok with needles), helps heal faster and it’s not sore. Good luck! You’re doing amazingly well at everything so don’t let one little setback stop you!!

Thank you FitnessEd – I think dry needling is the best thing in the world – find it quite facsination to see them stick needles in your legs and you can not feel any pain! Or you feel pain in your little toe and the needle is in your knee! 🙂

Ahhh thanks Jacvan. I’m in total agreement with you. There is something very very big that has been bugging me. Hopefully it has been sorted (well in a way)and things should come together again until my soul is once again in that lovely pink room with butterflies.
